«Baby Lake Run»

A unique race where mothers and fathers with strollers and their babies run a distance of 1,000 meters. The starting point and finish line are at Mavili Square, the "heart" of all races and parallel events. Each year, participation grows, with parents from the city and beyond sending the message that sports are for everyone.

The race will take place on Saturday, September 21, at 18:00. 


 

Family Run

Because running can also be a family affair, the Ioannina Lake Run offers the opportunity for the entire family to participate as a team, following the model of similar international events. The goal is for each family to start together and cross the finish line together in a 1,000-meter race, without a competitive character. The race is open to families in all possible combinations. A parent with their child or children, two parents with their children, godparents with godchildren, uncles and aunts with nieces and nephews, grandparents with grandchildren, and so on.

Lakeside 1,000m Race for People with Disabilities

In an effort to make the slogan that the right to exercise is universal and everyone should have the joy of participation a reality, the Ioannina Lake Run has added a race for people with disabilities to its program. People with intellectual disabilities, vision problems, mobility issues, and those in wheelchairs, with the help of their companions, are invited to cover 1,000 meters of lakeside route, under the applause of numerous spectators.

The race will take place on Saturday, September 21, at 17:00.


 

Lake Run Kids Race

A children's running race of approximately 1,000 meters, which will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, September 21, 2024, along a lakeside route, with the starting point and finish line at Mavili Square. The goal of the race is to introduce children to sports through a recreational activity without competition. There will be two starting times: one for students between 8 and 10 years old and another for students between 10 and 12 years old. Participation is free, and each child will receive a commemorative medal. .
